Challenges
Brownstein Group is a premier brand-identity agency based in Center City Philadelphia which serves industry-leading clients including IKEA, Microsoft Corporation, Siemens and Comcast. Brownstein Group relied on one internal IT Manager and one IT consultant, which put them in a vulnerable position – if the employee became ill, left for vacation, quit or the consultant was not available, the entire organization would be without any technology support. In addition, having one person and a consultant manage their IT infrastructure meant they lacked the resources to implement new IT projects, and there was not enough strategic, forward-thinking initiatives. Brownstein Group recognized the need for a long-term IT strategy that would better support the agency. They sought an IT support provider that would make them confident in their technology infrastructure and be able to provide high service levels.
Solutions
SaberSource assessed that Brownstein Group would benefit from staff augmentation and managed support. Continuity was ensured by retaining Brownstein's full time IT technician on site. By backing that technician with its full resources, SaberSource was able to provide backfill capability, support assistance and escalation through its systems engineers as well as CIO-level guidance to Brownstein Group's senior management. In addition, SaberSource's OnGuard™ Infrastructure Management, Monitoring and Support was also an integral part of its IT solution for Brownstein Group. OnGuard™ is an all-encompassing services package that allows SaberSource to manage customer's IT networks and infrastructure.
Results
Since SaberSource began supporting Brownstein Group, three key projects have been completed. These include: Replacement of Brownstein's switch infrastructure resulting in substantially improved network performance and reliability; Replacement of Brownstein's firewall solution greatly improving security; and updating the agency’s UPS power backup systems which improved system uptime in the event of a power interruption. Challenges
Klein Hersh International is a Life Sciences Industry recruiting agency. Their executive recruiters are immersed in all careers and aspects involved in the drug development lifecycle. Clients include leading biotechnology, pharmaceutical and medical device organizations. They also offer secured key hires for leading outsourcing organizations servicing the Life Science market. Their organization consists of approximately thirty full time employees. Fern Klein is responsible for Klein Hersh International's office operations and technology. Through 2007, Klein Hersh was using a sole proprietor for IT support, but she had become unhappy with the service her company received. She knew Klein Hersh needed a stronger IT partner to ensure that the company's computer systems could satisfy the group's needs.
Solutions

These systems are remotely monitored by SaberSource 24 hours-a-day.
